What is a Holistic Homebody?
A homebody is someone who finds joy in being at home, engaging in activities that center around rest, care, and connection.

A holistic homebody goes deeper. She sees her home not just as a place, but as a partner in her well-being—a space that nourishes her physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

She understands that the home and the body are interconnected.
Each reflects and shapes the other.
Our spaces hold energy. Our habits leave an imprint.
Through mindful rituals, nourishing routines, and sacred practices, we create a home that heals—inside and out.
"The wise woman builds her house. The foolish tears it down with her own hands."
Proverbs 14:1
We are not living like our mothers’ generation.

There is no roadmap for this season, for women like us—only the one we’re building with each step we take.

This is the New Midlife.
Holy ground. Uncharted and sacred.
We are not following a path—we are the path.
With grace and courage, we are shaping what doesn’t yet exist.
We are listening. We are remembering.
We are the blueprint--guided by the Divine --
graced by our becoming.
I’m M. Hakikah Shamsideen, and I created The Holistic Homebody as a sanctuary for Black women—especially those entering retirement, enjoying it, or navigating life transitions. Our H.O.M.E. Pillars guide all we do:
Heal – Invite God’s peace and restoration into your life and home.
Order – Align your space and time with godly principles.

Ministry – See every act of care as sacred work.

Ease – Live with grace, trust, and unhurried peace.
Through spirit-led rhythms, practical wisdom, and seasonal living, let me help you create a home—and a life—that feels whole, peaceful, and ready for what’s ahead.
